Mr. Rahul Pandey, CEO & Co-Founder, bonzai, is a young, enterprising and pioneering entrepreneur who has honed his skills in the telecom and media industries over the last 15 years. He has mastered various aspects of marketing such as brand building, brand management and intelligent digital advertising solutions. It is with this diverse and in-depth knowledge of marketing and its functions that he co-founded bonzai in 2011.
bonzai is a niche ad tech solutions provider empowering brands to build intelligent and interactive HTML5 creatives. It provides a DIY tool for creating, publishing, optimising and measuring rich media ads for smartphones & tablet devices. bonzai strives to create smart ads for today’s smart users and ensure that building beautiful and engaging mobile creative was never this easy.
Mr. Pandey holds degrees in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA). His peers recognize him as the ‘go to’ guy for ideas and information on brand building and resolving complex business problems with his innovative thought process. He is not only the ‘Jack of all Trades’ but also the Ace in all. He created the first On-Ground & Radio Property for local Goan bands which is a feat listed in the Limca Book of Records.
Prior to bonzai, Mr. Pandey has worked with the Mobile unit of Network 18 Group as the Business Head and also served as the General Manager of Idea Cellular (erstwhile AT&T) for over 10 years.
Through bonzai Mr. Pandey aims at combining his experience of brand management and digital media to create a platform for helping brands build seamless audience engagement on mobile medium.
Mr. Pandey and his wife Shiny have a 12-year-old daughter, Shivani. He loves to travel with his family and explore new places, cuisines and cultures. He imbibes the values of humbleness and simple living from the Dalai Lama and Pope Francis.
In his free time Mr. Pandey loves to watch and play his favourite sport – football. He is a Barcelona fan and admires The Football Club of Barcelona (FCB) for creating a unique technique to rule club football. He has been a national level table tennis player. Listening to Jagjit Singh’s ghazals is another of his pastime.
